Broadcom Advanced Control Suite 4 (BACS 4) is a management and diagnostics utility for systems using Broadcom-based Ethernet adapters. It provides a centralized interface to view and configure multiple network interfaces, monitor link status and performance, and troubleshoot connectivity issues. Administrators can adjust adapter settings such as link speed/duplex, Receive Side Scaling, checksum and large send offloads, flow control, and Wake-on-LAN. BACS 4 supports 802.1Q VLAN configuration and NIC teaming (via Broadcom’s BASP) to enable link aggregation and failover for higher throughput and redundancy. The tool also offers detailed adapter information, live statistics and counters, event logging, and built-in hardware diagnostics such as loopback and cable tests. Designed primarily for Windows environments, BACS 4 helps streamline network configuration, improve reliability, and reduce time to resolve network problems on workstations and servers.
